Excellent service and food. Went for lunch with extended family so had booked. It was a Wednesday and busy, although we had table service and were not kept waiting. Excellent ploughmans. Will return.

Good pub grub. Excellent friendly staff. Attentive and flexible. Well organised on a very busy day. On a nice day the canal boats and water fowl are an entertaining added bonus.

Can definitely recommend the Sunday lunches. Have eaten here several times and it never disappoints. The food is hot and tasty. Meat tender and veg colourful and cooked well. Whatever we have ordered has been superb. The desserts are amazing and presentation is excellent. The staff were all very cheerful and helpful and cleared tables promptly. Would definitely recommend.

Country canal side setting, not the easiest place to get to but well worth the journey. Late November the absence of Christmas decoration made it all the more enjoyable, attentive but not intrusive service and an uncomplicated but varied menu from which our selections were quickly served. All meals were hot and well presented accompanied by lovely fries and a fresh salad. The bar/restaurant are was tidy and very clean, toilets also spotless. Being midweek we were surprised how popular it was for customers having lunch. All in all, very enjoyable and good value for money. We had travelled 60 miles on the day for a family reunion so not our "local" but would strongly recommend to anyone.
